The Audience Chamber
Gian puts himself between the shifter and Devlin and Rothaide causing the shifter to bump into him instead. The shifter growls at Gian who in turn meets the shifter’s stare. After a tense moment, the shifter turns and strides off towards the corridor.
Vago looks at the group with a raised eyebrow and leads the way past the doors. The group enters a large and dimly lit chamber which noticeably looks like the insides of a Talenta halfling tent. The large richly furnished room divides into three separate areas of colorful weaved floor mats. One of the mats is directly ahead, and one is to either side. Each mat is placed on a die, raised dais.
An old halfling with graying hair and wide, alert eyes occupies the mat directly ahead. The platform is festooned with rich tapestries and silk pillows. Three female Aerenal elves dressed in stylish robes stand nearby. Two halflings guards flank the mat.
The mat to the right is occupied by a built Halfling, younger than the one ahead of the group. He seems muss less alert and is smoking from sort of contraption. He shares the dais with three large shifters, who are laughing and joking with one another.
The mat to the left is empty and lacks even pillows or other Talenta accoutrements.
Behind the group, Vago states, “His most mighty and powerful lord, his most wise and generous master, his most understanding and thoughtful leader, Popora ir’Boromar.”
At this, the occupants of the room look up as if expecting someone from the group to say something.
